The Jump Start COMPASS Summer Intensive is a free, 4-week immersive program designed to give Central Ohio scholars the academic skills, college knowledge, and career clarity they need to walk into their future with confidence. In just one month, students will build real test-taking strategies, explore postsecondary pathways, and leave with a personalized portfolio and a B.A.G. mindset - Brand, Business, and the drive to grow.
Who is this for?
This program is designed for high school students in Central Ohio who are ready to invest their summer in something meaningful. Whether you're eyeing a four-year university, a trade school, or entrepreneurship, Compass meets you where you are and helps you get clear on where you're going.

What's the Program?
Over four weeks, scholars move through a carefully structured roadmap that blends test prep, career exploration, and real-world exposure:
Week 1 - Diagnostic Testing
Students begin with ACT/SAT initial assessments to establish a baseline and build a personalized test prep plan.
Weeks 2 & 3 - Intensive Learning
Daily test prep includes timed drills, strategy coaching, and Math & ELA tutoring. The College & Career Studio introduces admissions and essay planning alongside a personalized postsecondary roadmap. Scholars also participate in campus visits and career talks with guest speakers from across industries.
Week 4 - Intensive Learning
The program closes with final ACT/SAT testing to measure growth and readiness - giving students a concrete, measurable result from the summer.
